Inflow Studio ("we", "us", "our") is a boutique tech consultancy based in Melbourne, Australia. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over it.

We've written this in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us at hello@inflowstudio.com.au and we'll explain it.

What we collect

Information you give us directly

Contact form — name, email, phone (optional), company (optional), and your message. Used to respond to your enquiry.
Quote wizard — your project requirements (build type, features, goals, budget, timeline, hosting preference), plus contact details (name, email, phone, company) when you submit. Used to generate your indicative quote and follow up.
Chat widget (Inflow Navigator) — name, email, company (optional), and your conversation. Used to respond and improve the chat experience.
Newsletter (The Monthly Logic) — email address only. Used to send you our monthly newsletter.

Information collected automatically

Basic analytics — page views, referrer, browser type, and general location (country/city level). We do not use invasive tracking or sell this data.
Cloudflare Turnstile — our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent spam and bot abuse. Turnstile collects minimal data to verify you're human. See Cloudflare's privacy policy for details.

How we use your information

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Where your data is stored

Sanity.io — our content management system, hosted in the cloud. Stores form submissions, quote sessions, chat transcripts, and newsletter subscribers.
AWS SES (Sydney region) — used to send transactional emails. Your email address passes through AWS infrastructure in the ap-southeast-2 (Sydney) region.
Vercel — our website hosting platform. Server logs may temporarily contain IP addresses and request metadata.
OpenRouter / AI providers — the chat widget and quote wizard use AI models via OpenRouter. Your conversation and project details are sent to the AI provider to generate responses. We do not store raw AI conversations beyond the chat transcript saved in Sanity. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Data retention

We keep your data for as long as it's useful for the purpose it was collected — typically the duration of a project engagement plus a reasonable period afterward. Newsletter subscribers are kept until they unsubscribe. You can request deletion at any time.

Your rights

You can, at any time:

Access — ask us what data we hold about you
Correct — ask us to fix any inaccuracies
Delete — ask us to delete your data entirely
Unsubscribe — reply to any newsletter email or email us to be removed
Complain — contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner if you believe we've mishandled your data

Cookies

We use minimal cookies — primarily for essential website functionality (session state, wizard progress saved in localStorage). We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking cookies.

Children

Our services are aimed at businesses, not individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted with an updated "Last updated" date at the top. We won't reduce your rights without notice.
